Mission Statement of the Tolland Fund Incorporated
The Tolland Fund supports the right of all persons with disabilities to participate in sport and recreations to the best of their abilities, making them fully integrated members of their chosen community. Persons, no matter what their disability, age or sex, deserve the opportunity to engage in sport and recreation.
The Tolland Fund works to fund programs and disseminate materials which address vital needs in the state of Connecticut. These include:
- securing financial support, special equipment, enlightened coaching and accessibility to sport for athletes with disabilities.
- providing sports educators and camp directors who want to teach persons with disabilities with training and literature.
- publish information and making the public aware regarding the spectrum of athletic opportunity and inclusion awaiting persons with disabilities.
